At our Sunday services the children spend the first part of the service with their parents and friends for a time of family worship. They then all go out together with children's leaders to other rooms in the building where they are cared for and taught in age groups until the end of the service. There is a creche and activities for children up to school year 6.
A Playgroup is held each weekday morning and is open to children aged 2 years 9 months up to age 5. The Playgroup is run by trained staff, is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, and is registered with Ofsted to provide free nursery places for children from the term after their third birthday. Until that time a charge is made for children to attend Playgroup.
Every Wednesday morning, from 10.30am to 12noon, during term-time a New Mums & Babies Group meets and provides the opportunity to talk to other new mums over a mug of coffee and a biscuit.
Every Wednesday afternoon a Toddlers Group meets from 1.30 to 3pm. Parents and Carers of children aged birth to 4 years are welcome to drop in for a mug of tea or coffee while the children join with craft, music, and free play.
Toddlers for Dads meets on a Saturday morning once a month from 10am to 12noon to give dads an opportunity to meet up with other dads, and to join in with activities for their toddlers.
Kids' Club happens every Wednesday in term time, 5.45 to 7pm. Children in school years 2 to 6 are welcome for games, quizzes, prizes and loads of fun. Entrance is 30p per child.
Boys' and Girls' Brigades are uniformed organizations for children in school years R to 13. The Brigades meet on Monday evenings for fun activities including games, craft and achievement badges. Their aim is for children to have fun, make friends, and grow in understanding of the Christian faith.
